About Verdant Gardening Services

Hello, I'm Marie and I run Verdant Gardening Services as a part-time self-employed gardener.

I'm based near Fareham, UK and started my gardening business in April 2025 after giving up work in 2021 to be a full-time Mum.  I previously worked in an office-based role for an international company for over a decade but decided to pursue something I enjoy as a new chapter in my working life to fit around school hours.

I've appreciated the garden since my childhood. Both of my parents took great care of the family garden spending a vast amount of time and effort creating a wonderful outside space.

Once I owned my own garden it was a pleasure to create something an area to enjoy just as my parents had done.

I'm not afraid to roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty (although gloves are preferable). The garden is a great place for mental wellbeing and enjoyment, and I love helping others to enjoy their gardens too.
